Beautiful. Ugly. Within one hour I was called both names by two different clients. The incidents occurred when I was working for an escort agency that had half page ads in the Yellow pages. The first referral was stunned when he opened the door and saw me. $300. That’s what he gave me just to look at me while we chatted, fully clothed for an hour and he took in the sight of “the most beautiful woman [he] ever saw in real life.”
The next referral was also stunned by the sight of me when he pulled up in his limi at the agreed upon 7-11 rendezvous point. He gave me $2 and asked me to get him a soda. Before I had gotten in the store his driver was peeling out of the parking lot at a high rate of speed.
If you are any kind of real man, you’ll tell me why you did that.
Caroleena, on a phone call to the client who fled when he saw her.
Frankly, I was expecting a lot more. Doesn’t the agency have any good looking girls?
The eager response of the disappointed client who evidently anticipated my call and his chance to further insult me.
As I recounted my $300, enjoying the feel and smell if crisp, new hundred dollar bills, I reflected that beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. You’re pretty when people decide you are. What’s better than that is deciding for yourself. Sure, that’s easy to say but I’ve never mastered the ability to divorce my feelings from other people’s opinions of me. However, this night reminded me that there’s no telling what a guy wants. Who knows? Maybe he wants someone who looks like his grandmother but you’d never know that. You could end up doubting yourself when the hidden truth is, he wants to use you to imagine he is indulging in forbidden incest. Or whatever. You get me.
