I am already vigorously followed. I’ve experienced the same thing the article writes about and people told me it was all in my head. This article validates my perceptions but it doesn’t tell me anything I don’t already know–being profiled? Followed? What else is new. Seriously, what else is new bc I want to read about it. Maybe there’s no solution offered bc there’s simply no preventative solution.

I remember your post about the auction. It was an upsetting read and must have been more so to actually have lived it.
I don’t think there is any solution besides time and maturity as a society. Movement as a society is painfully slow and measured in decades. There was a time when interracial marriages were frowned upon and now are quite commonplace. That took decades. We have decades more before some of our societies stigmas and unreasonable thoughts are pushed to the wayside. I’m going to dip into my local side as I can’t think of a better way to express my advice, feelings, and thoughts on the matter.
