I have another interesting idea. Who cares if someone lies to me? What makes me think I am entitled to the truth–what am I, a court of law? It’s possible to not get mad and simply adjust your expectations to deal with a liar. In fact, most of us who deal with chronic liars do this all the time. Anyway. Addicts lie a lot. One reason is we have done so many things other people can’t know about without ruining our lives. Another reason is addiction comes with this character trait. Addicted know other addicts so we deal with liars, besides ourselves. That’s how I know about dishonest people.
